this film is my favorite!!!! i believe it was the only film aswell that he didnt write much about in his diaries. he was going through turmoil? with his wife at the time.

    Lots of turmoil. Chaplin had to shut down production, then resume much later due to his divorce. He also jumped through hoops to keep the movie from being seized and possibly become the property of his soon-to-be-ex-wife. The behind-the-scenes story is pretty amazing.
